Operation Restoration

Based in Hampton Roads, Virginia, Operation Restoration is a faith-based initiative transforming lives and communities by training formerly incarcerated individuals and transitioning military members in construction skills. Through restoring homes and deploying to disaster areas, we provide hope, housing, and a path to self-sufficiency.

Our Mission

Our vision is to build a self-sustaining community of skilled builders from among the formerly incarcerated and transitioning military, restoring both lives and homes. We aim to provide affordable housing to historically disadvantaged individuals, support victims of domestic violence, and offer transition housing for program participants. Through Christ-centered training and a unique operational model, we empower individuals to become agents of change in their communities. We are committed to reaching those who are often left behind, believing that everyone deserves a chance at redemption and restoration.

    What We Do

At Operation Restoration, we provide comprehensive training in building repair and construction to formerly incarcerated individuals and transitioning military members, grounded in Christian principles. Our trainees work on restoring donated properties, which are then made available through owner-financing to historically disadvantaged homeowners, victims of domestic violence, and as transition housing for new program participants. Our unique operational structure, modeled after a special operations team, allows us to deploy skilled teams to areas affected by natural disasters, providing critical assistance when it’s needed most. With a 3-year plan to achieve self-sustainability through property donations and income from owner-financing, we are committed to creating lasting change in our communities. We welcome partnerships with institutions and businesses that share our vision of rehabilitation, community restoration, and workforce development.
